Moldovan Ambassador to Israel: Security situation in Israel remains complex, Moldovan citizens urged to exercise caution

The security situation in the State of Israel remains complex, and the authorities are maintaining in force the restrictions and safety measures imposed in the context of the state of emergency and the armed conflict. The announcement was made by Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Israel Alexandr Roitman, who urged Moldovan citizens currently in the country to strictly follow official recommendations.

According to the diplomat, all instructions regarding behavior in emergency situations, including taking shelter when alerts are issued, remain in effect. In addition, the restrictions established by the Home Front Command have been extended until Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 8:00 p.m., and are applied differently depending on the geographical areas.

At the same time, the Israeli authorities have decided to extend re-entry visas automatically until April 30, 2026, with the possibility of a further extension depending on developments in the security situation.

Air transport activity is also affected. Ben Gurion International Airport is operating partially, under special restricted conditions, and the border crossing points to Egypt and Jordan are functioning according to a pre-established schedule.

Roitman emphasized that citizens must remain vigilant and constantly follow up-to-date information provided by local authorities, as new instructions may be issued depending on how the situation evolves.

In emergency situations, citizens of the Republic of Moldova can request consular assistance at the phone numbers +972 52-278-7326 and +972 52 778 9772 or at the email address tel-aviv@mfa.gov.md.
