Moldovan PM says relations between Moldova and Romania at peak, continue to develop

The relations between Moldova and Romania are currently at an exceptionally close level. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu's today evening made statements to this effect at the show, In Context, on the public television channel, referring to the bilateral relations between the two states in the context of the official meeting with the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Toiu.

"The relationship between the governments of the two countries is at its peak and continues to develop. We have a friend, we have a brother, we have a sister, we have all every support and assistance we need. This relationship is truly exceptional," said Prime Minister Munteanu. He highlighted both the political dimension and the practical collaboration between the authorities.

The PM noted that the close dialogue was taking place not only at the level of political leadership, but also between experts, state secretaries and department heads.

"We also benefit from the support of experts coming from Romania, which is very important for our legislative harmonization process in the context of the European path," Munteanu said.

"During the meeting, the Romanian minister offered advice and recommendations aimed at deepening cooperation and strengthening common projects," the prime minister emphasized. He also emphasized the personal collaboration relationships, including the exchange of messages with his counterpart from Romania, Ilie Bolojan, thus highlighting the atmosphere of openness and trust that characterizes the bilateral relations.

The statements come in a context that Moldova continues to prioritize cooperation with Romania at multiple levels—from legislative support and technical expertise to economic and cultural development projects. Prime Minister Munteanu reiterated the country's commitment to maintaining these solid relations and leveraging Romania's support to strengthen Moldova's European path.

The main results of the bilateral cooperation from this year and the common priorities for the next period were discussed at the meeting of Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu with the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana-Silvia Toiu, who is in Chisinau on the occasion of the meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Moldova from abroad.
