Prime Minister to meet Moldovan diaspora in Brussels

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu is set to meet with citizens of the Republic of Moldova living abroad in Brussels. The event will take place on 18 November, when he will visit Brussels.

“Dear friends, we warmly invite you to a discussion with Alexandru Munteanu, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova. The meeting will be held on November 18, 2025, at 19:00 in the Saint-Gilles Town Hall. Address: Brussels, Pl. Maurice van Meenen 39, 1060 Saint-Gilles,” the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Belgium and Luxembourg announced today.

On November 18, Alexandru Munteanu will also participate in the European Union Expansion Forum, which will take place in Brussels under the theme “By expanding the Union, we ensure our future.” According to the agenda, the event will bring together political leaders, European officials, civil society representatives, young people, entrepreneurs, and experts from member and candidate countries to discuss the future of the expansion process and its role in strengthening European security.

The forum will be opened by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, with a video message, and by the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, who will give the opening speech.

Munteanu will speak in the first panel – “The Geopolitical Imperative of Expansion” alongside Marta Kos, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, the EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, the Commissioner for Defence, Andrius Kubilius, and Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka.
