U.S. Secretary of State conveys message on Moldova's Independence Day

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has conveyed a congratulatory message today on the occasion of Moldova's Independence Day. The official said that the United States of America and the Republic of Moldova shared a clear commitment "to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous future."

Marco Rubio emphasized that, since Moldova gained sovereignty, the two nations had stood together in support of freedom, democracy and a safe and prosperous future.

"The United States values the strong partnership with the Republic of Moldova. We stay committed to working together to encourage open dialogue, promote economic growth and support national sovereignty," he noted.

The American official reiterated that the United States and the Republic of Moldova shared a clear commitment to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous future.

"On this special day, we honor the resilience and determination of the Moldovan people. We look forward to deepening our partnership in the years to come," added Marco Rubio.

The Republic of Moldova today marks the 34th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence, voted by the parliament on August 27, 1991. On this occasion, more festive events are taking place in Chisinau and other settlements across the country.
