
All kindergartens in Chisinau connected to heating supply
Chisinau, Oct. 31 /MOLDPRES/- All 129 preschool educational institutions in the capital have been connected to the heating supply. The deputy head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport, Andrei Pavaloi, made the statement at today's meeting of the municipal services.
In the suburbs, 20 out of 25 kindergartens were connected to heating.
At the same time, the official said that the pupils returned from the autumn vacation today. "During the day, the managers of the educational institutions will inform us about the temperatures recorded in the rooms and if they require connection to the heating supply," Pavaloi said.
For his part, the head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, Boris Gîlca, said that all medical institutions in the capital are ready to be connected to the heating. "At the moment, not all hospitals have been connected to heat as normal temperatures are being recorded. The heating is delivered only to maternity hospitals and pediatric blocks of medical institutions. Alternative heating sources are used in some hospitals. It is switched on at nights when low temperatures are recorded. All medical institutions will be connected to heat as soon as it gets cold outside", Gîlca said.
The thermal season starts when average daily temperatures of up to +10°C are recorded for three consecutive days.
