Children from socially vulnerable families to benefit from free trips to Zoo in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 2 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- Children from socially vulnerable families will benefit from free trips to the Chisinau Zoo. The action is taking place for the second consecutive year and will be resumed this September.
The head of the Scientific and Educational Section within the Zoo, Olga Iuzvac, said that the trips are organized by the local authorities in the districts of the Republic of Moldova. "The children come from different regions of the country. They get free entry and a tour led by a guide. We are happy to familiarize children with the world of wild animals, to tell them about the animals of the Zoo, their way of life, food and other specific features. The children participate with interest in the discussions and are fascinated by what they see," said Olga Iuzvac.
Excursions take place on Thursdays and Fridays, and weekly the Zoo park is visited by more than 100 children from socially vulnerable families.
Currently, there are over a thousand birds and animals at the Capital Zoo. The representatives of the institution specified that, in a short time, other animals will be procured and brought to Chisinau.
The price of a ticket for adults is 30 lei. Children up to the age of 7 have free access, and pupils, students and pensioners pay a fee of 5 lei.
