Chisinau city hall sets plan for organizing parking on street
Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall has set an action plan on regulating public parking on the city streets.
At a yesterday meeting, the existing data were updated, proposals on adjusting and updating the legal framework were discussed and a feasibility study was presented.
According to the municipality representatives, in the first stage, it is proposed to classify the parking according to the type of location. Thus, in Chisinau there will be the following types of parking: public on-street; park and ride, parking for residents on private land; shopping malls parking etc.
According to the type of users, the car parking will be classified: for residents, visitors, commuters, parking for delivery of goods.
Also, at the meeting was established the action plan for regulation of public parking on street: establishing the number of parking in the area of the historic center; organizing the tender for the Organization of Road Traffic in the historic center; elaboration of traffic organization schemes in the historical center, including proposals for the arrangement of public parking on street and elaboration of technical sketches for location of parking; the beginning of the works for arranging the public parking on street.
