
List of people entitled to free sanatorium rehabilitation to be extended
Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- The parliament decided to set up new social protection measures for the husbands and wives of war veterans.
According to the amendments, the spouses of participants in World War II or in peacetime fighting among fallen soldiers or people with disabilities who died as a result of the war and their children up to the age of 18 or after this age, if they continue studies in education institutions, until graduation, but only up to the age of 23 will be entitled to free sanatorium treatment.
Thus, the respective categories will be provided, once every three years, with sanatorium treatment tickets in the rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and in other institutions of this type.
The expenses required for this initiative are about 752.1 thousand lei annually for 307 persons as mentioned.
The draft will be voted in second reading. The law will be implemented starting with 1 January 2021.
