Medical employees of Moldova's Border Police vaccinated against COVID-19
Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The vaccination against COVID-19 started at the Border Police today. The first beneficiaries of the AstraZeneca vaccine are ten border policemen, physicians and medical assistants of the Medical Centre.
According to the Border Police, the medical employees involved in the management of the epidemiological situation ever since the beginning of the pandemic are mostly exposed to the risk of infection.
„Everybody wants to live in sound society, without fear to travel and meet people. Antibodies are formed with the immunization and in the contact with other people infected with COVID-19, each vaccinated person will not at all bear this infection and if the person gets infected however, he/she will have an easy form of the disease. As a result, there will be no massive hospitalizations and neither serious or quite serious cases will be registered,’’ the head physician of the Border Police, Marius Balea, said.
The campaign of vaccination against the new-type coronavirus started in Moldova on 2 March.
