Modern veterinary medical center set up at UTM
Chisinau, Feb. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) will benefit from better study conditions. For this purpose, a university veterinary medical center was set up, which was equipped with equipment and machinery for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of pets. The investment exceeds 1 million lei (50 thousand euros).
In the new Center, students will train their practical skills and conduct scientific research within the projects. At the same time, veterinary medicine services will be provided for people who maintain pets, and students will have the opportunity to participate in the interventions. A consultation will cost about 150 lei. The financial resources obtained will be used to complete the necessary equipment and machinery for the center.
"Investment in education is essential, especially to motivate young people to study at home. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry pays priority attention to the revitalization of the livestock sector. We also focus on developing the knowledge and experiences of young specialists. This year, our country will continue to benefit from support from the World Bank. Thus, the AGGRI Project will be implemented, with a total budget of 55 million dollars. About 25 million will be invested in the livestock sector. We aim to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of farms, by equipping farms with modern equipment and machinery, by implementing high-performance technologies and improving the regulatory framework", said State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) Iurie Scripnic
The investment in the new Center was made with the support of MAIA and from the own funds of the Technical University of Moldova.
