Moldovans returning home to get support to reintegrate into society
The Diaspora Relations Bureau (BRD) within the State Chancellery has signed a partnership agreement with the National Center for Assistance and Information of Non-Governmental Organizations CONTACT. The document sees support for Moldovan citizens returning from abroad to reintegrate into society.
BRD and CONTACT center have committed to collaborating to offer free information, consultancy and assistance services for setting up non-commercial associations, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, to encourage the active involvement of returning citizens in public life.
The agreement was signed by State Secretary of Government Ana Calinici and Serghei Neicovcen, Executive Director of CONTACT center.
"We want to involve as many actors as possible in the process of providing assistance upon return, to offer advice and information on a wide range of topics. This partnership will ensure the necessary support for those interested in creating or engaging in the activities of public associations, to the benefit of communities in Moldova," stated Ana Calinici.
Serghei Neicovcen emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and non-governmental sectors to support citizens' initiatives:
"As an organization dedicated to strengthening civil society and promoting participatory democracy, the CONTACT Center is committed to supporting the reintegration process of Moldovan citizens returning to the country. By offering information, consultation, and personalized assistance for the initiation and development of non-commercial associations, we aim to encourage active citizen involvement in public life and contribute to the development of a democratic, inclusive, and participatory society," Neicovcen said.
The agreement was signed in the context of the launch of the return assistance service — an initiative of the BRD, intending to facilitate the return and reintegration into society for our compatriots from diaspora.
