Moldovans returning from abroad to receive guidance on finding employment at home
The Diaspora Moldovan citizens who choose to return home will receive support to more easily reintegrate into society. A memorandum of collaboration on the matter today was signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, represented by State Secretary Ana Calinici, and the Non-governmental Association MentorMe.
The document provides for an extensive package of free services for Moldovans returning from abroad, including social and psychological counseling, career guidance, mentoring, access to potential employers, as well as participation in networking and personal development events organized by MentorMe.
“The support provided to Moldovans who rule to return home is essential for successful reintegration. We are pleased to have the MentorMe Association as a partner, which has very good experience in career guidance and a team ready to support those returning,” said Ana Calinici at the event.
For her part, Irina Covriga, the head of the MentorMe Association, emphasized that the partnership showed the organization's mission to support young Moldovans and professionals in the process of returning home.
“Reintegration is not just an administrative process – it's a human journey, which needs support, trust and a community which welcomes you with open arms. MentorMe is that safe and active space, where returning Moldovans can find guidance, validation and valuable connections for a new start at home,” she said.
The signing of the memorandum takes place in the context of the launch of the Governmental Return Assistance Service, an initiative of the Diaspora Relations Bureau (BRD), aimed at encouraging and facilitating the process of returning to Moldova.
The Non-governmental Association MentorMe was founded in 2014 by a group of students from Moldova and is the country's first global mentoring programme, dedicated to supporting young people in their professional and personal development. Over the years, the organization has guided thousands of young people through mentoring sessions, events and practical resources, benefiting from the involvement of mentors in diverse fields, such as IT, marketing, finance, or psychology. MentorMe connects today's leaders with future ones, offering young people valuable support to discover their direction and reach their potential.
