The National Army will be equipped with over 100 units of state-of-the-art military hardware. The Ministry of Defence and the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments today signed a framework agreement and contract for the procurement of the equipment from the Canadian company Roshel.

The action is part of the assistance package for the years 2022–2025. It is aimed at strengthening the mobility and transport capabilities of the National Army and is being implemented with the support of the European Union through the European Peace Facility programme.

During a meeting with representatives of the implementing company, Minister of Defence Anatolie Nosatîi expressed his gratitude for their responsiveness and openness. He also highlighted the importance of the European Union’s significant support in strengthening the defence capabilities of the Republic of Moldova.

The total cost of the project exceeds 50 million euros and is provided as a non-reimbursable European grant.

The purchased vehicles will be delivered by May 2027.
