Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - Divers of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) on 14 June intervened in the Cosnita village, eastern Dubasari district, in order to evacuate a vehicle fallen in the Dniester river, IGSU has reported.
According to the institution, the rescuers’ mission was necessary, after the vehicle’s owner had forgotten to pull the hand brake and the vehicle fell from the steep bank and sank at a depth of 8 metres. ‘’The call to the 112 Service was received at 14:58. A team of divers intervened on the spot to carry out the operation; they found the vehicle at depth and made efforts to get it out,’’ IGSU said.
A crane was needed to fulfill the task. The operation ended on 14 June evening, after rescuers had evacuated the car.
The IGSU employees intervened in 24 risk situations in the last 24 hours.
