Residents of Moldovan capital's suburb to be able to get to city by trolleybus
Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/ – The inhabitants of Bubuieci commune in Chisinau municipality will be able to reach the capital by trolleybus. The new route will be run by three new units with autonomous propulsion, which are currently running.
The acting mayor, Ruslan Codreanu, has said the new route will be launched on 25 March 2019. The acting mayor participated today in testing a new trolleybus on the route to Bubuieci.
The Chisinau city hall has announced that the itinerary of the trolleybus route to Bubuieci is due to be completed in a few days, and there are currently examined four route modes. One option provides the connection between the Chisinau centre (street Ismail) and the Bubuieci commune. The final decision will be adopted by specialists, after they have made sure that there is a technical possibility to recharge the trolley batteries.
The trolleybuses with autonomous propulsion already circulate in several suburban localities such as Sangera, Stauceni, Truseni and Durlesti. Also, for more than a month, the inhabitants of Ialoveni can reach the capital with the trolleybus, the first electric transport line connecting Chisinau and a town outside the city.
