Valentin Ignatenco children's hospital to use renewable energy
Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- Valentin Ignatenco municipal children's hospital will use renewable energy as the first medical institution in the capital to implement such a project. Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu made the statement today.
The project will be implemented with the support of UNDP Moldova. Codreanu said that providing the hospital with electricity from renewable energy will have an impact on the environment and will significantly reduce the institution's costs. This will allow the saved money to be reinvested in the hospital's modernization.
"Our future depends on more efficient investments in education and health, fostering sustainable innovation and moving towards a green low-carbon economy, investments and actions that we have to do now," Codreanu said.
This is a pilot project, and the authorities of the capital propose that it can then be implemented in other municipal hospitals.
