According to PCCOCS, the amount of the tax, which according to the State Fiscal Service was not paid by the respective person is over 7 million lei and refers to the fiscal period of 2012-2015.
The present criminal proceedings were initiated on the basis of the self-referral report drawn up in September of this year by the State Prosecutor who previously, in the retrial of the criminal case in order of review regarding the named, waived the accusation brought against him.
Therefore, yesterday, after examining the documents of finding, including the opinion issued by the State Fiscal Service, the PCCOCS prosecutors ordered the initiation of the criminal investigation based on art. 244/1 of the Criminal Code (tax evasion by individuals who do not engage in entrepreneurial activity). In this context, the Prosecutor's Office announces that the actions of the responsible persons from PCCOCS, who have admitted violations, will be verified, and as a result, it will be ordered in accordance with the provisions of the law.
