
Vetting Commission of Moldova finishes evaluation of 25 candidates for offices in specialized colleges
Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ - The commission for the evaluation of judges has informed that it finished the evaluation of those 25 candidates for offices in the two specialized colleges subordinated to the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM): the Collection for the selection and evaluation of judges and the disciplinary College.
According to the quoted source, the evaluation of those 25 candidates started in December 2023. Among the evaluated persons, there were judges from courts of various levels, professionals in the legal sector and civil society’s representatives.
Thus, the Commission members evaluated 13 candidates for the position of member of the College for the selection and evaluation of judges and 12 candidates for the office of member in the disciplinary College. One candidate out of the 13 ones for the member of the College for the selection and evaluation of judges withdrew from the contest and another one was withdrawn by CSM. The rest of the candidates passed the evaluation.
Three out of the 12 candidates for the position of member in the disciplinary College withdrew or were withdrawn by CSM during the process. Six candidates passed the evaluation and three ones failed to pass the evaluation.
The work of the Vetting Commission is based on three types of evaluations.
