Chisinau city hall renovates football field of theoretical lyceum
Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall, in cooperation with the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF), has renovated and today inaugurated an artificial football field at the Gaudeamus Theoretical Lyceum.
This field is part of those six ones included in the Football in Schools pilot project on the development of sport, through the creation through specialized classes in education institutions, gymnasium cycle. The city hall’s contribution for arranging the football field is of about one million lei and the cover for the artificial fine grass was provided by FMF.
At the inauguration event, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that, through this project, many of the gifted children, who have no possibility to play football but during classes at school, would be able to make their dream come true.
According to the Chisinau city hall, in the next two years, decision-makers plan to arrange, in cooperation with FMF, another 40 football fields with artificial fine grass in secondary education institutions, cycle II, from the city.
