Group of amateur athletes from Moldova to climb mountain in Nepal for first time

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/- An expedition to Mera Peak (Nepal), with a height of 6,476 will take place in April-May 2021. A group of four active lifestyle enthusiasts, runners, climbers and mountain hikers will travel several hundred kilometers, climbing several peaks of over five thousand meters to reach the location where no Moldovan citizen was.

“The MyEverest project is a continuation of a personal experience two years ago, in which I traveled over 300 km through the Himalayas." project author Iulian Bercu said.

The expedition will be in Nepal on 13 April -24 May during which amateur athletes will cover several hundred kilometers, reaching Everest Base Camp and climbing several passes over five thousand meters in the Himalayas.
