Moldovan deputy premier meets farmers in Drochia
Chisinau, April 26 /MOLDPRES/- Our task is to bring life to the villages. This will only happen if we develop business, said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry during his visit to the Drochia district.
"Investments will be made from the state budget and with the support of international partners to succeed in the small-scale industrialization of rural areas," Vladimir Bolea said.
The official exchanged views with farmers in the region and representatives of local public authorities. The parties analyzed the competitive advantages of the region and the potential for the development of livestock farms, the rehabilitation of irrigation systems, the creation of cooperatives, as well as the use of tillage technologies to prevent soil degradation and increase the productivity of plantations.
In Drochia district, over a hundred economic agents are operating in the agricultural sector. They are mainly specialized in growing field crops.
