Moldovan actress marks 85th birthday anniversary
Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - A well-known actress, Master in Art Nina Doni marks her 85th birthday anniversary today.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Nina Doni said that her colleagues from the Luceafarul Theater had congratulated her on this day. ‘’A team of actors came to my home. I thank them from the bottom of the heart for the fact that do not forget me. I mark the birthday along with my children and grandchildren,’’ the actress said.
Nina Doni was born in the Olanesti village, Stefan Voda district, on 9 May 1937. In 1960, she graduated from the Moscow-based Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. Along with other well-known actors, Doni created the first troupe of the new Luceafarul Theatre from Chisinau.
She debuted in cinematography in 1961, played more episodic parts and participated in the dubbing of more movies during 25 years.
Nina Doni was awarded the honorific title Master in Art in 1995, the Labour Veteran Medal in 1987 and the Order of Honour in 2010.
