Moldova, Albania establish joint actions to prepare for EU accession
Actions for the European integration process of Moldova have been discussed at a meeting of the coordination committee between the Office for European Integration and the Department of European Policy and Integration at the Albanian Prime Minister's Office. The discussions aimed to facilitate an efficient exchange of experience and the adoption of Albania's best practices in preparing countries for accession to the European Union, according to the Cooperation Memorandum signed earlier this year.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov, the participants in the meeting identified and established more actions for the next year, aimed at supporting an efficient exchange of experience and allowing the adoption of Albania's best practices in the process of preparation for EU accession.
“Together we have established more actions for the next year, which will help us have an effective exchange of experience and adopt the best practices of our Albanian colleagues in preparing our countries for accession,” highlighted Cristina Gherasimov.
During the study visit, representatives from the Office for European Integration participated in training sessions with experts from the Western Balkans, directly involved in European integration negotiations, which allowed them to deepen their practical experience and the strategies used by states already advanced in the accession process.
The activity was organized with the support of the GIZ project, Public Administration Reform in Eastern Partnership Countries, implemented at the request of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in cooperation with the Programme for Supporting Ukraine's European Integration (Ukraine2EU), funded by the European Union.
