Three Moldovans died in road accident on Kiev-Odessa route
Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/- The Foreign and European Integration Ministry was informed via the Moldovan embassy in Kiev that on 21 February, as a result of a road accident near Jovetni-Starie Maiaki settlement, Odessa region, a SETRA bus with 37 Moldovans heading for Moscow-Cahul skidded off the road, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.
According to the official information, as a result of the accident, three men died, and other five persons were injured. Bus driver was hospitalized in Sireaieve settlement. The citizens who came out unharmed after accident boarded another bus to be transported to Moldova, Cahul.
The representatives of the Moldovan embassy in Kiev and Moldovan Consulate in Odessa are in permanent contact with authorities in the region to elucidate the situation and provide necessary assistance, as well as with families of passengers.
