Around 300 previously uncovered localities included in real estate delimitation program
During 2019–2026, a large-scale program for the registration and delimitation of real estate has been carried out in the Republic of Moldova, aimed at recording public property and modernizing the cadastral system. The about 300 localities that were not previously covered by this program will now be included in the real estate delimitation process.
The registration of public property and the proper delimitation of real estate is necessary and brings benefits both to the central and local public administration, as it enables the attraction of investments by removing economic obstacles, generating revenue from the right to use property, ensuring the correct assessment of the cost of each individual property, and limiting the possibility of abuses related to the transfer, sale, or use of state assets.
To complete the full cadastral registration throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova and to correct cadastral errors for previously allocated land, the State Program for the Delimitation of Real Estate has been extended until 2028.
“Through these amendments, the continuation of correcting errors in land allocation and of fully registering public property will be ensured, with the clear objective of achieving full cadastral coverage at the national level,” said Ivan Danii, Director of the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre.
The modernization of the national cadastre system and the establishment of a unified, transparent and legally valid record of real estate are part of the Reform Agenda of the Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova, which sets as its objective a 100% covered, digitized and up-to-date cadastre.
