Government approved establishment of General Consulates in Sacramento and Chicago, USA
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova located in the United States of America will have quicker and more efficient access to consular services. The government has approved the establishment of General Consulates in the cities of Sacramento and Chicago.
The creation of the new diplomatic representations will ensure the prompt provision of consular services, contribute to reducing scheduling times, and deepen the dialogue with Moldovan communities.
This step is necessary in the context of the growing number of Moldovan citizens in the USA and aims to provide efficient and quality consular assistance. Thus, the mechanism for protecting the rights and interests of Moldovan citizens in the USA will be strengthened.
The opening of the General Consulates in Sacramento and Chicago is expected by late March. Currently, our country's citizens can benefit from consular services by contacting the single consular officer within the diplomatic mission in the American capital.
