Moldovan foreign minister meets Ukrainian representative for Transnistrian conflict settlement

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Ukraine’s special representative for Transnistrian conflict’s settlement, Valeri Jovtenko, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

The officials exchanged views on current matters on the Transnistrian conflict’s settlement agenda. They spoke out for resuming five-plus-two negotiations as soon as possible and finding a viable solution for the Transnistrian conflict, observing Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Jovtenko reiterated Ukraine’s further willingness to contribute to the active promotion of negotiations to solve the Transnistrian conflict, adding that it would especially help consolidate peace and security in the region.
