Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet today decided to earmark 176,200 lei for organising funerals of great departed actor Mihai Volontir, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.

Following a proposal by Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet, in the beginning of the government meeting, the cabinet members held a moment of silence in the memory of maestro Mihai Volontir. "We have to mention that we are in a sad period. An actor and famous singer, Mihai Volontir, has passed away. This is a peerless loss for us," Strelet said. Also, the prime minister asked the governmental institutions to observe all the rigors imposed in line with the presidential decree on declaring 17 September 2015 national mourning day.

Mihai Volontir died on 15 September. He will be buried at the central cemetery of the Armeneasca street on 17 September.
