Moldovan head of state meets representatives Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with the delegation of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, led by the formation’s deputy president, Henrik Bach Mortensen. The discussion was focused on the uncertainties of security in the region, as well as the support of European parties in the process of Moldova’s accession to EU.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state stressed that, although the war in Ukraine deeply hit Moldova’s security and economy, the authorities worked day by day to carry out the reforms for fulfilling those nine recommendations of the European Commission.

At the same time, the Moldovan president thanked for the interest of the Alliance to provide support for implementing the reforms in the justice sector and rule of law state. Maia Sandu also said that the country relied on ALDE’s backing in maintaining Moldova on the agenda of Brussels.
