Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita and the mayors of the settlements from the central Nisporeni district today discussed the macro-economic situation in Moldova, as well as the cabinet’s policies meant to help the local public authorities (APL), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The PM referred to the government’s actions for re-launching the economy, hit in the wake of the war in Ukraine, disturbance of the logistic chains and the effects of the energy crisis. In particular, the sides discussed the fiscal policy for this year, which provides for a string of facilities for the development of the entrepreneurship and backing APL.

„We introduced a string of measures, which will contribute to the economic development, among which: the 0 per cent quota on the income tax for the Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), return of the sum of the Value Added Tax (VAT) accumulated in account, starting from 2023, exclusion of the ceilings for local taxes. We also increased the funds for compensations and for increasing the salaries, in order to reduce the effects of the crisis on the citizens and economic agents. With the help of the development partners, as well as with budgetary resources, in the last year, investments have been made in local roads from the Nisporeni district, water and sewerage systems, in stimulating the entrepreneurship and turning to good account the tourism, as the region has a big potential in this respect.
