Dear veterans and retired military,

On the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the National Army, I congratulate the entire combat and civilian personnel, as well as their families, and I convey them good wishes.

The national military institution has proved, in more than two decades of its existence, that it is a force capable of carrying out its tasks and represents the guarantor of constitutional democracy.

Presently, the National Army is going through a period of reform in order to become a modern, European army, able to be inter-operable with other armies of the world. To achieve this objective, the government counts on the qualities of the Moldovan servicemen - professionalism and true patriotism.

On my own behalf and  on behalf of the citizens of Moldova, I want to thank you for the excellent work you showed within exercises and missions under international mandate. Thanks to you, at present, our state is a viable and reliable partner for foreign countries, a guarantor of stability and security in the region.

I trust that you will continue to do your job with devotion and perseverance for the prosperity and welfare of Moldova.

On the National Army Day, I wish all effective forces of the country and from abroad health, prosperity, achievements and success in the noble mission of defending the Motherland!”
