Moldovan-Romanian educational institutions to boost up cooperation
Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/-The Moldovan Education Ministry and the Romanian National Education and Scientific Research Ministry will start negotiations on signing a collaboration protocol for the next three years. A decision to this effect was taken during the cabinet meeting today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The protocol provides for further Moldovan-Romanian bilateral ties, setting a string of juridical norms in the field, continuous training of the teaching staff and joint implementation of educational and scientific projects. The document also sees that the Romanian government shall grant annual scholarships to pupils, students, master and doctoral students studying in Moldova. Scholarships were previously offered only to Moldovan pupils and students studying in Romania.
Counterpart ministries will especially collaborate to modernize national educational systems and organize mutual study visits, in order to enhance professional abilities of the teaching staff. The protocol also aims to enhance Moldova’s activity in the science and education sector and promote its EU integration goals.
