European agenda and implementation of Growth Plan discussed at meeting between Acting Prime Minister and European Commissioner
Acting Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu held a meeting today with Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity. The discussions focused on advancing the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova, implementing the Growth Plan, and strengthening economic cooperation with the European Union.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in implementing the Reform Agenda, highlighting that over 90% of the measures planned for the first half of 2026 have been completed. In this context, the importance of a positive assessment by the European Commission and the disbursement of the next financing tranche under the Growth Plan was underlined, in order to maintain the pace of reforms and investments.
The two officials also discussed the measures needed to strengthen the competitiveness of the economy, reduce the administrative burden on the business environment, accelerate digitalization and enhance cybersecurity, as well as mobilize investments that contribute to the gradual economic integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
Osmochescu reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to continue implementing the reforms necessary for accession to the European Union and thanked for the constant support offered to the Republic of Moldova in the process of European integration.
