
Deputy Prime Minister, OSCE Mission Head discuss developments in Transnistrian settlement negotiation process
The developments in the negotiation process for the Transnistrian settlement were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Roman Roșca and Ambassador Kelly Keiderling, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, in the context of the conclusion of her mandate in our country.
The discussions focused on the activities carried out by the OSCE Mission in supporting the dialogue between Chișinău and Tiraspol, the developments in the negotiation process for the Transnistrian settlement, as well as the progress made in promoting the country's reintegration policies.
Roșca highlighted the contribution made by the OSCE as a mediator in resolving the Transnistrian conflict and emphasized the importance of maintaining security and peace, in line with the expectations of residents on both banks of the Dniester.
Kelly Keiderling expressed gratitude for the constructive collaboration and appreciated the work carried out by Roman Roșca as the former president of the Special Parliamentary Monitoring and Control Commission on the implementation of Moldova's reintegration policy. She also wished him success in fulfilling his mandate as Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration and in achieving the objectives assumed in the country's reintegration policies.
The OSCE Mission to Moldova was established on 4 February 1993, and began its activities two months later.
