
Parliamentary Committees issued over 5,000 opinions in four-year term
The permanent committees of the XIth legislature Parliament met 1,888 times over the four-year term.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the legal committee on rules and immunities held the most meetings – 255 in total. The economy, budget and finance committee is in second place with 224 meetings, followed by the foreign policy and European integration committee, which organized 204 meetings.
During this period, the committees approved 2,535 reports and 777 joint reports. The most productive from this point of view were: the economy, budget and finance committee - 852 reports and 101 joint reports and the legal committee on rules and immunities - 498 reports and 96 joint reports.
At the same time, the standing committees issued 5,121 opinions, of which the most belong to: the Public Administration and Regional Development Committee (796), the Environment Committee (793), the Social Protection, Health and Family Committee (738).
During the term, the XIth legislature Parliament had 11 permanent committees. Eight were chaired by deputies from the Action and Solidarity Party faction, and three by members of the Communists and Socialists Bloc faction.
Significant activity was also recorded at the level of the Standing Bureau, which met in 154 sessions, adopting 127 decisions and examining 173 issues.
