Moldovan Central Electoral Commission: 266,978 people vote at local elections in Chisinau
Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - The voter turnout was of 40.9 per cent (266,978 people) in Chisinau, according to preliminary data by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
As many as 151,864 women and 115,114 men participated in the 5 November local polls in Chisinau. The most active voters were from the age segment of 36-45 years; young voters and elderly people are at the opposite pole.
According to CEC, 305 polling stations were opened for the today’s general local elections in the Moldovan capital.
