Moldovan foreign affairs ministry issues travel alert for India
Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has issued a travel warning for India, in the context of increased risk of terror attacks and insurgent groups’ activities in the Jammu and Kashmir region, as well as the areas of border with Pakistan.
The Ministry advises Moldovan citizens who are in, transiting through, or intending to travel to India to avoid the aforementioned regions and strictly follow local authorities' instructions.
For consular assistance in case of emergency, Moldovans can contact the Embassy of Moldova in New Delhi: +91 9971699110 (emergency number for accidents, disasters, deaths, or other dangerous situations) and consul.newdelhi@mfa.gov.md
MAE informs that it continuously monitors the security situation in the region and will provide real-time updates.
