PHOTO // Parliamentary delegations from France and Poland visit Chișinău to support European path of the Republic of Moldova

This week, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova hosted visits by parliamentary delegations from France and Poland, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and supporting the country's European integration process.

During the visit of the French delegation, the Chair of the France – Republic of Moldova Friendship Group in the National Assembly of the French Republic, Marie-José Allemand, held meetings with members of the Moldovan-French parliamentary friendship group, led by MP Marcela Adam.

According to the Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Department, the officials discussed France’s experience in the process of accession to the European Union and the good practices that could be harnessed by the Republic of Moldova on its European path.

Also this week, Parliament received a visit from a delegation from Poland, headed by the Chair of the European Union Affairs Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Agnieszka Pomaska.

The Polish official held meetings with the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration, Marcel Spătari, and with the Chair of the Committee for National Security, Defence and Public Order, Lilian Carp.

The agenda of the discussions focused on deepening cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Poland in areas of common interest, with an emphasis on European integration, security, and the exchange of experience in the process of aligning with European Union standards.
