Opposition to separately investigate state-owned companies and salary system
The opposition parliamentary factions announced today the creation of their own inquiry group that will investigate the activity of state-owned enterprises and institutions, as well as the salary system. The deputies said that they do not trust the previously established parliamentary commission.
The announcement was made by the Vice President of Parliament, Socialist MP Vlad Batrîncea, during the plenary session of July 9.
“At the previous session, an inquiry commission was created regarding the situation at state-owned enterprises and institutions. We do not trust the activity of this commission and we announce the creation of an inquiry group formed from representatives of the opposition factions,” Batrîncea said.
He noted that the inquiry group will collect information through parliamentary inquiries, and the data will be forwarded to investigative journalists. Energocom, Railway and other state institutions will be under the opposition’s scrutiny.
On July 2, MPs established an inquiry commission, headed by MP Dinu Plîngău, which will analyze the activity of all state-owned companies.
