Filling roads in Chisinau delayed as city hall cannot buy asphalt
Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall cannot rehabilitate roads in the capital because for bureaucratic reasons, it cannot procure asphalt.
EXDRUPO company director Sergiu Tomita said at the online meeting of the services of Chisinau today that no asphalt producer can produce this material, because the Ministry of Economy has not approved European rules for the production of asphalt material.
"On 31 December the old asphalt production norms expired. The Ministry of Economy should extend these old norms or should approve the European norms for its production. We have the financial resources to purchase the asphalt, but no one produces it ", Tomiță said.
According to the road rehabilitation plan in Chisinau, on 15 March the filling of the pits on the municipal roads as a result of the cold season should have started.
