Moldovan Border Police, Customs Service establish work during winter holidays
Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Border Police and Customs Service have established a joint mechanism of cooperation on the period of the winter holidays.
At a working meeting, decision-makers of the two structures discussed and analyzed aspects of inter-institutional interaction and cooperation, joint mechanisms of collaboration between the border policemen and customs employees, in order to ensure comfort and easy movement at the most demanded border crossing points.
Thus, the participants in the meeting established that the number of employees should be supplemented and the opposite lanes should be activated on the period when an increased flow of passengers and transport means is recorded. Also, mutual exchange of data and information on the flow of travellers and transport means will be enforced as well.
The decision-makers tacked in detail also the principle of ‘’single desk,’’ which would optimize and allow a quick control at the crossing of the border, including the enforcement in the near future. Thus, the participants in the meeting suggested the unification of jobs of both institutions in a common room, as well as the facilitation of the working procedures.
