New trolley bus route connecting two districts of Moldovan capital to be launched on 15 January
Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - A new trolley bus route, No 12, will be launched on 15 January; the route will connect the Ciocana and Centru districts of Moldova’s capital. The acting mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, today made statements to this effect at a weekly meeting of the Chisinau city hall.
According to the local authorities, the trolley bus route No 24 between the Blvd Mircea cel Batran and Miorita Street (with the present itinerary) will be maintained. At the same time, additionally, there will be the route No 12, Blvd Mircea cel Batran – Mateevici Street (with shortened itinerary up to the State University of Moldova).
After the division, 38 trolley buses will move on the two routes to the Ciocana district, at an interval of 3-5 minutes in the peak hours, with a total number of 606 journeys on working days.
Presently, 34 units move on the trolley bus route No 24, with an interval of three minutes and the rotation time – 100 minutes. There are 464 trolley bus journeys on working days.
