
Over 13,600 people call ambulance in Moldova in last week
Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 13,605 people called the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service on 14-20 June. Most people who called the ambulance had cardiac problems -2,501, followed by 1,913 people with neurological emergencies and 1,740 citizens with respiratory diseases.
On the concerned period, 1,486 calls on grounds of various injuries were received by the dispatching department of the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP). ‘’The emergency medical assistance teams of Moldova intervened in the case of 53 traffic accidents and provided medical assistance to 70 people. Following the intervention of ambulance physicians, 62 patients needed assisted carriage to hospital for subsequent treatment,’’ the CNAMUP said.
Following the providing of the first medical aid, emergency medical assistance teams carried 5,427 patients to Emergency Reception Units, of whom 1,165 children.
