Parliament launches parliamentary open week on democracy and dialogue with citizens

On 13-20 September, Parliament is organizing a new edition of the open week on democracy, transparency and dialogue between citizens and state institutions.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the event will kick off on 13 September. Over 1,000 artists from all regions of the country, alongside the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra will take the stage to celebrate traditions and national unity.

Throughout the week, schoolchildren, high school students, and university students will participate in interactive activities such as Democracy Hour—dialogues with MPs, educational games and quizzes, and the Legislative Theater, an activity aimed at explaining the role of the Parliament through dramatic arts. In the districts, in Comrat, there will be information sessions focused on engaging young people in public life and the decision-making process.

Moreover, visitors to the Parliament can leave messages for MPs through an “idea box”, and the most inspiring ones will be published on the official website.

The week will conclude on September 20 with the conference “Youth Decide the Future of the Republic of Moldova”, where young people, MPs, and experts will discuss the role of the new generation in strengthening democracy and the country's European path.
