Safe Easter Holidays // Spokesman for Moldova's government says physicians, police officers, firefighters, other public sector employees to be on duty for Easter
Doctors, police officers, firefighters and other public sector employees will be on duty during the Easter Holidays, in order to ensure citizens can spend their free time safely. The spokesperson for the government, Daniel Voda, today unveiled a string of recommendations on behalf of public institutions in the context of marking the Resurrection of the Lord.
“As for the fire prevention, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) announced several recommendations, including the supervision of candles and lamps, the use of stable holders, avoiding flammable materials, ensuring evacuation routes in places of worship and avoiding crowds. At home, keep open flames away from flammable objects and supervise children. In cemeteries, colleagues recommend not burning waste or tires,” said Daniel Voda after today's cabinet meeting.
At the same time, citizens are urged to be mindful of the products they choose for the holiday meal.
“In this regard, the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) advises checking the expiration dates of products, using special egg dyes purchased from authorized stores and avoiding the use of printing ink dyes, to avoid health risks,” said Daniel Voda.
In the context of the holidays, the Border Police and Customs Service anticipate increased traveler flow at the Leuseni, Sculeni and Palanca crossing points. In these conditions, authorities recommend that people opt for less crowded alternative routes, such as the Leova-Bumbata, Cahul-Oancea, Costesti-Stanca, Lipcani-Radauti Prut or Tudora-Starokazacie points.
“Observe the authorities’ recommendations and contribute to a peaceful and safe holiday at home,” said Daniel Voda after the today's government meeting.
On April 20, the Christians mark the Resurrection of the Lord.
