Two new trolley bus routes inaugurated in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - Two new trolley bus routes are operational in Chisinau starting from today. The first route, No 32, will make connection between the Stauceni village and 31 August 1989 Street from capital. The second one, No 33, will connect the State Agrarian University of Moldova and the Sculeni Barrier Street.
The acting director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Administration enterprise, Dorin Ciornai, has said that five new-type trolley busses with autonomous movement would circulate on the route No 32. These trolley busses were assembled in Chisinau and are endowed with air conditioners.
According to the Chisinau deputy mayor, Nistor Grozavu, the Stauceni village was among the first settlements prepared to benefit from trolley busses ever since 1990s. Grozavu added that the launch of the new trolley bus route would settle more problems.
Also today, the trolley bus No 33 became functional. It will be served by two transport means with autonomous movement.
Presently, the municipal enterprise Chisinau Electric Transport Administration owns 360 trolley buses, of which 222 ones are of the new type.
