PHOTO National team received state flag to leave for World University Games
Chisinau, July 19. /MOLDPRES/- Moldova's flag was handed today to the national team that will represent our country at the World University Games-2023. The event took place at the Ministry of Education and Research.
"I am honored to be with our athletes at the first public event as a minister. You are our true ambassadors and achieve results for each of us. I wish you success, understanding very well that it is very complicated to compete with athletes from countries where they have more incentives. As soon as you return home, we will meet at the ministry, together with the entire sports community, to see what we can do to fully appreciate your value and support you accordingly", said Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research.
This year, the World University Games will be held on July 28 - August 8 in Chengdu, China. Moldova's representatives will compete in various events such as athletics, fencing, rowing, taekwondo, etc.
The Republic of Moldova has been participating in the World University Games since 1995.
