
Moldovan authorities announced conditions for applying for waste management grants
Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM) in partnership with the Environmental Project Implementation Unit (UIPM) has launched a Grant Program for the specific management of waste streams in the Republic of Moldova: waste oils, used tires and discharged vehicles out of use. The deadline for submitting applications is 2-20 August.
Within the Grant Program, waste management projects will be implemented in order to increase the capacity to prevent, store, reuse, recycle and promote markets for recycled products.
Eligible to submit applications are legal entities, with any form of organization, registered under the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, operating in the country and have at least 3 years of experience in the field of collection, recycling, reuse and disposal of waste; civil society organizations, as well as partnerships with APL are encouraged.
The eligible costs for the projects are from 5,000 to 25 thousand euros. Of the total amount, 80% will be the grant amount, and 20 percent will be the applicant's own contribution.
