
Moldova's State Fiscal Service registers about 6,000 contracts on rental since early 2021
Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - The State Fiscal Service (SFS) registered 5,936 contracts on rental during January-April 2021.
According to SFS, as a result of the actions undertaken, 2,091 people private renting real estate have been identified. ‘’The following payments were additionally calculated to the budget for 231 private people who rent real estate and who did not comply with legal provisions: basic payments - 187.7 thousands lei, penalties – 16.7 thousands lei and fines – 42.1 thousands lei,’’ SFS said.
The State Fiscal Service warns that, in line with the Fiscal Code, the subjects of the taxation of private people, who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and transmit in possession and/or in use (rental, lease, beneficial interest, superficies) real estate, pay a tax worth 7 per cent of the contract’s monthly value.
The aforementioned people are obliged, in a three-day term after the contract’s signing, to register it at SFS. This tax is paid monthly on the date of 25 of the current month, in the way established by the State Fiscal Service.
