
Moldovan parliament speaker has meeting with Swedish PM
Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, on an official visit to Sweden, has had a meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The officials reviewed the state of the bilateral relations between the two countries. The sides referred to the boosting of the economic and commercial cooperation between Moldova and Sweden. ‘’We want an as large as possible number of products to reach Sweden and to have as many as possible Swedish investors in Moldova,’’ the parliament speaker said at the meeting.
A special subject of the discussions was Moldova’s agenda of reforms and the governance’s priorities for the next years. ‘’For 2023, we are set to return to economic growth and to back the business environment. Another priority represents the development of the production of energy from renewable resources. We are interested in Sweden’s experience in the carrying out of projects on generating green energy,’’ Igor Grosu noted.
The Moldovan parliament speaker assured the Swedish PM that the parliament and government of Moldova were institutions fully involved in the country’s economic development and in the creation of friendly conditions for the development of businesses and investments.
In the end of the meeting, Igor Grosu thanked for the generous support Sweden had provided to Moldova during years. The government of Sweden supported important projects on development of creative industries, in the vine-growing and wine-making sectors and tourism, as well as the improvement of the business environment, local development and strengthening the democratic institutions from Moldova.
